Justine Chadly is the local owner and music teacher of Music Together North Bay, and has been offering classes at several locations in Benicia, Vacaville and Fairfield, since 2003.
Music Together is an internationally recognized music and movement program for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them.
We are so lucky to have such a talented music teacher in our area. I asked Justine to share the benefits of music classes.
According to Justine, "Benefits of music education? What ISN'T a benefit of music education?! Especially in the formative years (0-5) more of the brain is used than in the remainder of our lives. It is the perfect time to introduce our children to as much as possible...language especially! And what is the universal language? Music."
Justine goes on to say, "Mastering the language of music and gaining musicality (having a musical sense) is best learned in these early years. Think of all the famous musicians you know of....most of them had music in their lives from the very beginning, whether in religious services or music in the home!"
In Music Together, families and children are not simply meeting for classes once a week but encouraging music making to be a part of daily life in your family and in our community.
Ongoing research shows that making music is also linked to extra musical benefits such as speech development self-confidence, social interaction, math comprehension and more.
Music Together North Bay has an upcoming summer session starting mid-July.

FYI: Justine also offers piano and voice lessons at 851 Music Studio in Benicia.
